Homemade Rosemary and Peppermint Sugar Scrub recipe with free printable label. The perfect gift idea!
Hello there! This is Katie from The Casual Craftlete blog. Today I am excited to share a homemade Rosemary and Peppermint Sugar Scrub recipe with free printable labels. This holiday scrub smells amazing and makes your skin soft and smooth. This would make a great Christmas gift too!
I always try making my own beauty products for holiday gifts, and the other day I mixed up a homemade rosemary and peppermint sugar scrub that turned out fantastic! It is so easy to make and it smells absolutely amazing!

Rosemary and Peppermint Sugar Scrub recipe

Yield: 2 cups

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted and cooled
  • Rosemary essential oil
  • Peppermint essential oil

All you need are a few ingredients to make the sugar scrub. Start by adding 2 cups of granulated sugar into a bowl. Heat the coconut oil in the microwave in a safe bowl 15-25 seconds or until the oil is melted. Add 1/4 cup of melted and cooled coconut oil into the bowl of sugar. The coconut oil is what makes your skin soft and smooth. Lastly, add 10 drops each of rosemary and peppermint essential oils, or until you reach the smell you desire. I use a whisk to combine the ingredients.

I made a pretty printable label for your rosemary and peppermint sugar scrub. This would make a great holiday gift for someone special. I hope you like it! I used a 2 inch round circle punch to cut out printable labels or you can use scissors. Then I used adhesive tape to attach the paper to the tops of the jar lids. I added some red and white twine around the rims of the lids to finish off the gifts. I think they look super cute.

When applying the scrub, make sure to use a spoon to scoop out the desired amount. If any water leaks inside the scrub, bacteria can form. So, make sure you store you sugar scrub in a well sealed container free from water or moisture.
Apply the scrub to your hands, feet and body and massage for a few minutes. Then rinse the scrub off with warm water. This is how I like to use and make my sugar scrub but you can always change the measurements and ingredients to your liking. The more sugar you add, the more coarse the scrub will be. This rosemary and peppermint sugar scrub should keep 2 to 3 months.

The smell is wonderful. Inam making these for small adult gifts this year. I found it to not be wet enough and had to add more oil. Most other sites have half the oil for sugar quantity. It still worked well. I guess you can figure out the consistency that works best for you.

It will fill 1 pint mason jar or 2 half pints.
