DIY succulent gift idea
DIY succulent gift idea for Mother’s Day! Simple, inexpensive and cute!
Today I have a simple gift idea for Mother’s Day along with a fabulous giveaway for a Mother’s Day shopping spree! Scroll down to the bottom to enter. That would be my dream! 😉
Succulent’s are so popular right now and I have to admit at first I wasn’t a huge fan. They have grown on me and when I spotted this little succulent plant at the nursery the other day I just had to pick it up. I thought it would look even cuter in a mason jar. Let’s face it… everything is cuter in a jar, right?!
This gift will take you minutes to throw together and would make the perfect gift for Mother’s Day or Teacher Appreciation.
Supplies:
- Mason jar
- Succulent plant
- Ribbon
- Washi Tape
- Sharpie or pen
- landscape pin or popsicle stick
Instructions:
Remove the plant from the pot and stick in a jar. Tap the jar on the counter or use a toothpick to spread out the soil. For the washi tape tag, just write the name on the tape and then wrap the tape around a landscape pin or popsicle stick. Then just stick it into the back of the jar. Super easy and simple.
Cute idea! Your potted succulent could also be e a great DIY teacher appreciation gift!

Love this…super cute! Where did you find your plants? It looks like there’s a cluster of 3 in the pot.
Hi Lindsay! I found mine at Lowes! 🙂
Who knew succulents could be so cute!
Hi where did you get your small mason jars from and the ribbon?
I like to get mason jars at the hardware store, I usually find they have the best selection. Big box store (Target, Walmart) also carry mason jars but not as many sizes, I’ve found.
I got the ribbon at Joanne’s. 🙂
What size jar did you use?
I believe they were 4 oz jars! 🙂
