Fourth of July Inspiration
The Fourth of July is quickly approaching and what better way is there to celebrate than a backyard barbecue? There are so many fabulous ideas floating around out there in blog land, so I’ve rounded some of the best for you! Here is some fourth of July inspiration!
4th of July Printables {snap, crackle, pop}
Land of the Free, Home of the Brave FREE printable
This amazing printable is courtesy of Laura Winslow Photography. Print it out and slip it into a freshly painted frame and you have a great addition to your party decor or even include it as part of the invites you send out.
I love this rag wreath from Sassy Sanctuary. The entry way sets the tone of your party and it’s important to make a great first impression.
A patriotic topiary is a genius addition to Fourth of July decor and I love the one that Simply Designing has put together. The best part is that you can put this out weeks before the party starts as your regular holiday decor.
I’ve seen a lot of things scouring the internet for new and fresh ideas and when I stumbled across this one, I immediately loved it. These confetti rockets from Alphamom are something that I have honestly not seen before.
Martha never disappoints. These star medallions could be hung from trees, the roof of a patio, the back of chairs, the possibilities are endless.
Kami from No Biggie used craft and baking items from around her home to fill glass apothecary jars and used them as centerpieces. Genius!
I love a quick and easy idea like this one from My Insanity. Take some red, white, and blue bandanas and sew them together to create a festive tablecloth!
And keeping with the bandana theme, why not use them as napkins for your guests as well like Kimba from A Soft Place to Land? Placed in a mason jar with silverware, these are a great green alternative to the usual plastic forks and paper napkins.
And speaking of food, let’s get to it! Honestly, cooking isn’t as much my “thing” as dessert is, so here are some of my favorite dessert ideas. The first is so simple: store-bought ice cream sandwiches rolled in sprinkles. Why have I never thought of this before?!? Thank you Felt So Cute for sharing!
Sheryl from The Lady Behind the Curtain used the newest trend in desserts to create these Firework Cupcake Push-Pops.
With berries being in season, a tart is a great, refreshing option to dessert. Martha Stewart shares a recipe for the perfect one.
I absolutely adore the idea of berry stir sticks from Country Living as well. It’s little details like these that will make your party stand out!
Why relegate your drink to the big, clunky coolers if you don’t have to? These metal buckets from Martha were decorated with vinyl stars for easy removal after the party.
I hope you’ve enjoyed some of the best Patriotic Party ideas out there! I have even more posted on my Patriotic Party board over at Pinterest. I’d love to have you come check them out!

Wonderful! Thanks for the inspiration round up! Hard to believe but it really is just around the corner!
I know! It is just around the corner. Katie did a wonderful job!
Eek! What a fun surprise! This is a fab 4th of July round up and I’m honored to be included. Thanks so much!
Definitely a great roundup! Loved yours!
I miss reading your posts in my reader!!!! That extra step to click over slows me down and even makes me skip over it sometimes!
uh oh it’s not showing up in reader? I think a lot of things got messed up last week. I’ll make sure to “try” and figure that one out. 😉 Thanks for letting me know!
I too miss reading your posts all the way in the reader!
sorry!! I’ll work on getting that fixed, I had no idea it was having issues.
Your blog is wonderful, but it never appears as a full entry in my Google Reader anymore. I usually access my fave blogs from my phone while at lunch or having a quiet moment to myself. Is there a way that you can allow your posts to show up in Readers as full posts? Sometimes my phone can’t handle the click over.
That aside your blog is lovely, and I can’t wait to try some of the ideas that you have so nicely collected for us. 🙂
That is really weird, do you know how long it’s been doing this? I to like catching up on blogs when I’m waiting in line or have a break on my phone. I’ll work on getting it fixed. And Katie had a great roundup!
I think I noticed the change around the beginning of the week-ish. I’ve been popping in from Reader but it is nice to be able to read the whole thing in there. I do really enjoy your blog.
Having a big 4th of July bash isn’t something we do much in my home, but I love the colors and nothing speaks summer more to me then red, white and blue! I love these ideas.
Great round-up! I’m totally trying those stars one of these days! Thanks for including my tablecloth!
