Sand slime recipe
The perfect summer activity that will keep your kids entertained for hours! So fun and simple to make.
- 10 ounces white or clear glue (2 bottles)
- 1/4 cup white sand (found at craft stores)
- 2-3 Tablespoons liquid laundry detergent
- Blue food coloring
Pour glue into a medium-sized bowl. Add in the sand and food coloring and mix together. Make sure to get the correct color before adding the laundry detergent. It will be harder to mix after that point.
Add the laundry detergent 1 Tablespoon at a time. Then make sure to thoroughly mix it into the slime. If it still sticks to the bowl, add another Tablespoon of detergent. You may need to knead it with your hands to make it the right consistency. I ended up adding 3 Tablespoons of detergent. Be careful though, because if you add too much detergent it will become too runny.
Stir the slime until it no longer sticks to the bowl. Touch it to make sure it isn’t sticking to your hands. If you can make an indent, it’s ready to play.
